Veteran of the Belarusian movement Zianon Pazniak writes that in terms of hostility towards Belarus, "of course, Russian politics comes first." But in second place, in his opinion, is "the current leadership of Lithuania."
"It so devotedly fulfills Brussels-German wishes against Belarus that one is amazed. Europe (especially Germany) has always used the Baltic countries for its own interests, and the 'Balts' had nowhere to go (just like now)," he writes.
But now there is America, whose current administration, according to Pazniak, "adequately understands the geopolitical role of Belarus in Europe, and the ruling establishment of the current leadership of Lithuania has been told what to do and what not to do regarding Belarus," he notes.
The politician writes that Lithuanian politicians "have so far made a mistake regarding Belarusian independent democracy." He does not explain what this is.
He promises to explain later the real reasons for Lithuania's strained relations with Belarus. "And Lukashenka has nothing to do with it," he declares.
