46-year-old Brest resident searched for work in Amsterdam. When it didn't work out, he went to the front with an obvious outcome
Andrei Filanyuk didn't find employment in the European Union, gave up and went to Moscow.
Andrei Filanyuk was born on March 5, 1980, in Brest. For over 15 years, he worked in the woodworking and furniture manufacturing sector — he was a machine operator, created drawings in specialized programs, and was involved in metalworking.
The man attempted to move to the European Union: in the autumn of 2021, he flew to the Netherlands for work. In 2023, Filanyuk was looking for vacancies as a machine operator in Amsterdam with a salary starting from 2400 euros.
However, he failed to settle in Europe and ended up in Russia — in the summer of 2023, he took on odd jobs in Moscow's taxi services, as a loader, and providing roadside assistance.
Ultimately, the Brest resident decided to go to war against Ukraine. Recently, his relatives published appeals on social media asking for help in his search: Andrei "Phil" Filanyuk predictably went missing during another futile assault.
