In June, "Flagstock" reported that the Department for Combating Economic Crimes had carried out mass checks of employees of the Mozyr Oil Refinery. The subject of interest for this police structure was the business trips of employees. At the time, about 400 plant workers who had made business trips abroad in recent years came under suspicion from law enforcement.
As "Flagstock" now learned from a source connected with the enterprise, the checks ended without result. It was decided not to initiate criminal cases, as it was understood that if all suspects were brought to justice, the enterprise would face a shortage of qualified personnel.
The case was "frozen," but employees were given to understand that the investigation could be resumed and restraining measures applied at any moment.
According to the publication's sources, employees of the Mozyr Oil Refinery were threatened with criminal cases allegedly for unjustified embezzlement of the plant's funds.
According to him, some faced fines and compensation for embezzlement, others — prison terms and confiscation of property.
