"Belarusfilm" selected four projects for future adaptations

The "Belarusfilm" film studio has identified four script projects recommended for further development and possible adaptation in 2027-2028. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture.

The projects were selected based on the results of a competition for script materials for feature films and television films.

Out of almost 250 submitted applications, 16 projects reached the final of the competition. After their review, the artistic council selected four stories:

"In the Footsteps of the White Lightning" by Alexandra Shishova;
"Vanka's Summer" by Andrey Burym;
"The Viper's Crown" by Maya Vetrova;
"Kumakha – Demon of Autumn" by Vyacheslav Yefremov.

Dmitry Semyonov, General Director of "Belarusfilm", noted that the members of the artistic council carefully analyzed each script. One of the main tasks was to find interesting stories truly worthy of being brought to the screen, as well as to identify new authors capable of working in the film industry.

Now the selected projects await detailed development. The film studio emphasizes that a lot of preparatory work needs to be done from idea to film production launch.
