US President Donald Trump threatened Iran with resuming shelling and making it "more massive and powerful than ever before," if Iran does not comply with the "current agreement" to end the war.
He also stated that until now, American troops, ships, and planes — "everything necessary for the deadly pursuit and destruction of an already significantly weakened enemy" — will remain in place in Iran. For now, American troops are resting, Trump wrote.
On Wednesday, Trump announced that the US would suspend attacks on Iran for two weeks, provided that Tehran opens shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
Negotiations for peace are scheduled for Saturday in Islamabad.
