A significant part of the almost 500-page publication was written by Uladzimir Auseichyk, an expert in funeral and memorial practices of the Belarusian Padzvinne and its surroundings, who has been studying Old Believer culture for a long time.
Among the authors of the book are also researchers Tatsiana Valodzina, Volha Labacheuskaya, Volha Afanasieva, Sviatlana Liavontsieva, who wrote chapters on the tradition of incantations, folk textiles, icons, and book culture.
The publication features rich illustrative material, which, in addition to common archival and expedition photographs, extensively uses family photos of the Old Believers themselves, including about two dozen funeral photographs published in the section dedicated to burials.
The book can already be purchased at "Akademichnaya Kniha" in Minsk.
