In Sevastopol and throughout the entire occupied territory of Crimea, serious fuel problems have begun due to Ukraine's blockade of roads.
Since May 31, AI-92 and AI-95 petrol in Sevastopol can only be purchased using special coupons. The Russian-appointed head of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, explained that the daily fuel limit at local petrol stations was completely sold out by morning.
The authorities called the introduction of coupons a temporary and forced step to avoid shortages and replenish reserves.
In addition, a strict limit on fuel sales is in effect – no more than 20 liters. Similar measures previously affected other cities in occupied Crimea.
The fuel crisis arose due to a sharp reduction in supplies, caused by regular attacks by Ukrainian drones on the strategic highway «Novorossiya».
This land corridor connects Rostov-on-Don with Simferopol through the captured southern regions of Ukraine and is now the main supply route for the Crimean peninsula.
The Russian-appointed head of the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Yevgeny Balitsky, reported that in the Berdiansk area, the Ukrainian Armed Forces began remotely mining this route using UAVs.
According to him, about 100 drones are shot down daily on the approaches to the region, however, their flow remains very dense, so drivers are asked to refrain from traveling.
According to experts, the Ukrainian army managed to advance drone launch points closer to the front line, which allowed them to take logistics in the southern direction under fire control. According to Russian military analysts, this tactic is aimed at completely isolating Crimea from the air by blocking key transport arteries.
