On the morning of June 14, in the Rybinsk region of Russia's Yaroslavl Oblast, black rain fell after a night attack by drones. An oil film covered private homes, garden furniture, greenhouses, and plants in vegetable gardens.
The fallout of dirty precipitation was recorded in garden associations in the area of Volkova village, reports 76.ru. This settlement is located approximately 20 kilometers from Rybinsk and only a few kilometers directly from the attacked object.
Local residents are shocked by the scale of the pollution.
“I'm in shock. We arrived, and our entire dacha, absolutely everything, is covered in this mazut. All the plants, everything. The ‘rain’ passed,” a local dacha owner told journalists.
Judging by the footage published on social networks, a thick black film covered tree and bush leaves, pets, and garden structures.
“We absolutely don't know what to do. These are years of work, tens of thousands of rubles, so much care for the garden,” complain the affected Russians.
The ecological emergency was the result of a night drone attack. A massive fire erupted at the "Temp" plant — a storage facility for oil products of the Russian State Reserve, where large volumes of fuel were stored.
It appears that during the explosion and fire, a huge amount of combustion products and oil product particles were released into the atmosphere and then fell on neighboring villages along with precipitation.
Oil rains also occurred in Tuapse in April after strikes on an oil depot.
