Soviet furniture, a riot of colors, and lots of decor. A Stalinka apartment with a rare renovation is for sale in Minsk, writes Realt.
This Stalinka apartment near Frunzenskaya metro station has undergone a unique renovation. It combines elements of Soviet classicism and eclectic decor, resulting in a vintage "dopamine" interior. Everything here is new, so the apartment is definitely suitable for those who appreciate such an atmosphere.
The five-story building at Kalvaryjskaya, 5 was built in 1961. This late Stalinka features a beautiful three-room apartment for sale, with an area of 79.5 m². Major repairs were carried out here in 2020.
The dwelling is located on the fourth floor and boasts high ceilings. The wall finishes further emphasize this.
The kitchen walls are covered with wallpaper in contrasting vertical stripes, which visually elevates the already high ceiling. A linear light-colored kitchen set without upper cabinets has been installed. It includes a built-in gas hob, a retro-style oven, and a sink with a high mixer tap, as well as a large refrigerator. By the way, the owners have also preserved the small window between the kitchen and the bathroom.
One of the rooms is arranged as a living room, it is a walk-through.
The interior is quite vibrant, but in combination with the decor and Soviet furniture, it looks stylish. Bright wallpaper is complemented by a wide black-and-white stripe at the top along the entire perimeter of the room. The ceiling features classic stucco rosettes in the center, and vintage chandeliers hang. Parquet flooring is laid on the floor.
Next to it is a living room with a bed featuring a metal forged headboard painted pink. There is also an exit to an open balcony here.
A full-fledged bedroom is located in an isolated room on the other side of the apartment. It also has a balcony and a small pantry hidden behind a curtain.
The corridor also turned out quite vibrant.
The bathroom and toilet evoke a strong sense of nostalgia for Soviet apartments.
Frunzenskaya metro station is located near the house. One can walk to Nemiga, Victory Park, and shopping centers. Nearby are streets with cafes and restaurants.
The apartment is asking for 605,000 rubles, and the price per square meter is 7,610 rubles (for reference: this is 218,000 US dollars and 2,746 US dollars respectively).
