Two Belarusians and nine Ukrainians have been arrested in Poland on suspicion of organizing rallies for Russian money, DW Belarus reports with reference to the Internal Security Agency (ABW) of Poland.

The arrested citizens of Belarus and Ukraine will be immediately expelled from the country. Their names are not disclosed.

According to the special service, the detainees "had connections in Russia and Belarus" and since the autumn of 2025 have been recruiting and paying for participation in demonstrations by Ukrainian refugees in Poland.

As ABW claims, the money for this came from Russia. According to the special service, the goal was to influence refugees to "promote political slogans."

"To initiate protests, topics that evoke strong emotions were used, including information about corruption scandals and current events in Ukraine's domestic politics," the special service clarifies.

The arrests took place in Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow, Zakopane, and Bydgoszcz.

"This is an example of actions that do not reach the threshold of classic aggression but are aimed at undermining public trust, inciting tension, and using people fleeing war as instruments of Russian influence operations," the statement reads.
