President of Cape Verde José Maria Neves commented on the upcoming match of his national team against Argentina in the Round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup.

"I hope that the Cape Verde national team will continue to play at the same level. We came to the World Cup to write our own destiny and face the reigning champions.
