Samara strike likely damaged workshop producing electronic equipment for Soyuz-2 launch vehicles
During today's night shelling of Samara by Ukrainian missiles, a workshop of the Progress Rocket and Space Center, where electronic equipment for Soyuz-2 launch vehicles is produced, might have been damaged. According to information from the Ukrainian OSINT project "KiberBoroshno," building 106A might have been hit.
Analysts claim that this building is part of the "Soyuz" production complex and operates in a high-purity class regime. Onboard electronics, instruments, and printed circuit boards – components that ensure the rocket's operation – are assembled there.
Nearby is building 106B, where final rocket assembly takes place. Whether it was damaged is not yet known.
The Progress RCC belongs to the Roscosmos structure and is the main enterprise for the serial assembly of Soyuz-2 rockets. In addition to launch vehicles, the enterprise produces Earth remote sensing spacecraft.
In the event of significant damage to the workshop, restoring production could be complex and take several months. This is especially true for premises with high cleanliness requirements: after a fire and extinguishing, it is necessary not only to restore the building itself but also to re-certify clean zones, technological processes, and check the level of contamination.
The attack on the complex occurred on the night of August 15. After the explosions on the enterprise's territory, a large fire broke out. The governor of the Samara region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev, reported at least two injured.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also announced the strike on "Progress." Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claimed that "Flamingo" cruise missiles were used for the attack.
According to the Ukrainian side, "Progress" is also linked to the production of the "Rassvet" space grouping, which Russia plans to use to establish its satellite communication. Kyiv claims that these satellites can be used by Russian military personnel, including for reconnaissance and communication provision.

То, что русские называют аналогом старлинка, в виде "Рассвета," - китайские конструкторы отвёрточной сборки, нет ни одного одинакового, но функцию выполняют.
Чтобы полностью накрыть Украину и обеспечить устойчивую, высокоскоростную связь, надо около 350 аппаратов.
Поэтому Украина правильно поступает, иначе, кроме валовых, неприцельных, неизбирательных ракетных и дроновых ударов, Украина, получит намного более точные, что, для мирного населения особо ничего не меняет, как сыпалось на голову украинцев, так и продолжится, но более точно и ещё сложнее для перехвата.
Если действительно нанесли ущерб, который заблокирует вывод на орбиту этих спутников, то сделали агроменное и нужное дело. В таком случае, только Китай может подсобить, но это не точно.
