Russophile Agafonov, who left Belarus, exchanged sarcastic barbs with Azaronak
"Even added homoerotic fantasies about my underwear, unmarried childless Ryhor."
Pro-Russian activist from Babruisk Artsiom Agafonov moved to Russia. After independent media wrote about it, Agafonov revealed new details.
It turned out that he had left Belarus back in October last year, but did not publicize it until he had settled property matters.
"At first I didn't publicize it — I still had real estate in Belarus, which made me vulnerable. In May, the apartment was sold, and I recently bought one here. We moved with the whole family — my wife, son, and his girlfriend. We are satisfied with the move," Agafonov wrote.
The reason for his departure, apparently, was pressure from Belarusian security forces.
In August 2024, Agafonov spent a day in the pre-trial detention center and received a fine for "extremism," after which the police did not leave him alone.
Already from Russia, the activist managed to criticize Belarusian officials, calling them "pale functionaries," and stated that "Russian politics, despite the war, remains vibrant."
The news of his departure caused a reaction from state propagandist Ryhor Azaronak, who dedicated a scathing post in his style to Agafonov, calling him a "niche micro-blogger with 6 views."
"A celebrity in torn undies thinks that now with a Russian passport he can disgrace the country and the President... But what bad luck — the liberal rogue Suzdaltsev also thought so. And his roof was more serious. But look how it turned out."
Agafonov didn't hesitate to respond immediately to Azaronak, ironizing about the propagandist's personal life.
"The niche Belarusian macro-propagandist couldn't resist commenting on my departure. Unmarried childless Ryhor even added homoerotic fantasies about my underwear. For some reason, he mentioned Suzdaltsev. And what about Suzdaltsev? He received 400 hours of community service, successfully completed them, and continues to publish. And it's not a fact that the content of those works would have pleased the 'aggrieved party'," Agafonov wrote, hinting that he does not intend to remain silent in Russia.
"I continue to be interested in Belarusian politics, despite the move," Agafonov wrote in his channel.
