Billie Eilish has long been known for her relaxed style and love for loose and oversized clothing. But lately, the singer looks completely different, writes Vogue.

All because of a new role: she plays Esther Greenwood in the upcoming film adaptation of Sylvia Plath's famous novel "The Bell Jar," directed by Sarah Polley.
In photos from the set in Toronto, Billie Eilish appeared in a red knitted short-sleeved top and an A-line skirt. Her usual beauty look also changed: the singer's hair was styled with a side part, and bright red lipstick was chosen for her makeup.
According to reports, the film's costumes are being created by Luis Sequeira, who was twice nominated for an Academy Award for Best Costume Design for two of Guillermo del Toro's films: "The Shape of Water" and "Nightmare Alley."
This image has almost nothing in common with the oversized polo shirts and Celine suits that Eilish wore before. At the same time, something familiar can be noticed in it.
A similar mood was present in Billie Eilish's look at the 2021 Met Gala, when she walked the red carpet in an Oscar de la Renta dress inspired by old Hollywood.
The events of "The Bell Jar" are set in the early 1950s. The main character, young Esther, comes to New York for a summer internship at a women's magazine. After this, she returns home to the Boston suburbs, where she experiences a severe psychological crisis.
In the new adaptation, Esther's mother is played by Carey Mulligan.
Billie Eilish faces a challenging dramatic role, and we can't wait to see her as Esther Greenwood. And the opportunity to observe the singer in knitted outfits and necklaces over the next few months will be a pleasant bonus.
