A copy of the Swiss Alps found in Belarus — but tourists are not expected there

A couple of days ago, a user in Threads showed incredibly picturesque footage taken in Belarus. Her videos feature a green field, a flock of sheep, and salt mountains rising on the horizon, writes Tochka.by.

The internet quickly delivered its verdict: well, why not the Swiss Alps? The videos went viral on social media, and commentators one by one began asking for the coordinates of this beauty.

The coordinates were soon found. However, an unexpected and important nuance emerged along with them: it's still not worth going there as a new tourist attraction.

Those very Instagrammable shots were taken near the village of Pivashy in the Salihorsk district. A private farm is located here, and the famous salt heaps serve as an impressive backdrop.

Over the weekend, hunters for beautiful photos and videos already rushed there. Among them was Threads user Maria. After the trip, the girl decided to slightly cool the enthusiasm of those who want to see the "Belarusian Alps" with their own eyes.

"I know that many were captivated by the shots of this place. Therefore, I want to warn everyone who goes there: public pages spread news very quickly for reach, but this is private property, surrounded by a field and a fence," she wrote.

The girl also added that beautiful photographs and videos are nothing more than a successful combination of angle, editing, and luck.

"Sheep don't play next to you, these are animals that live at their own pace and they won't pose for photos with you, so if you go there specifically, you might get lucky, or you might not," Maria honestly recounted.

And the girl who started all this "Alpine fever" later deleted her post altogether. Apparently, extra publicity for the quiet little farm turned out to be completely unnecessary.
