Intellectual entertainment games in Grodno have been equated with mass events. Because of this, organizers must now obtain permission for them. Most games planned for August have been cancelled, writes Hrodna.life.

One of the oldest Grodno quizzes, "Vspomnit vsyo" (Recall Everything), was the first to announce its cancellation. A few days later, it became known that other games would also not take place.
"All games until August 20 are cancelled. Registrations are suspended," wrote the organizers of the "Smoothie" quiz on their social networks.
Other quizzes have also temporarily stopped: "Mazgaboinya" (Brain Battle), "Tuts-Tuts", "Ugadai melodiyu" (Guess the Melody), and "Matryoshka".
Grodno residents are outraged by the decision of the local authorities in Threads. They write that such permits are not required in other Belarusian cities. However, residents of other cities, such as Brest, worry that, by analogy with Grodno, quizzes will also start being cancelled there.
"This was such a great cultural leisure activity for Grodno residents," writes one user.
Permission to hold a mass event is issued by the local executive committee.
An application must be submitted 15 days before the event. The application must specify the organizers' data, the goals and venue of the event, as well as the estimated number of participants.
If the event falls under the category of cultural and entertainment, its organizer must be in the register of the Ministry of Culture and have a touring certificate.
