Hundreds of people gathered in Moscow near the Supreme Court, which is considering removing "Yabloko" from the elections

This party of "permitted opposition" is the only one opposing the war.

About five hundred people, mostly young people, gathered near the court building in Moscow to support the anti-war party.

The only party with an anti-war stance allowed to participate in the elections to the Russian State Duma is being attempted to be removed from participation through the Russian Supreme Court. The lawsuit to cancel the registration of the federal list of "Yabloko" was filed by the pro-Kremlin "Rodina" (Homeland) party, accusing competitors of violating electoral and copyright law.

The reason for the court case was a lawsuit by "Rodina" with accusations of copyright infringement: "Yabloko" allegedly posts advertisements on social networks banned in Russia and violates copyrights when using songs and texts. Also, among other things, because of a photo of the bombing of Hiroshima from the US Library of Congress, quotes in Yavlinsky's interviews, and frames from the film "War and Peace," writes "Meduza".

Nikolay Rybakov, chairman of "Yabloko", stated in court that the opponents had reached an absurdity and were trying to blame the party for the very fact of criticizing the authorities and the slogan "For Peace and Change."

Most of the hundreds of supporters could not get into the hall and are following the process outside.

The head of the Russian Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, urged not to send ballots with the list of registered parties for printing yet, as changes may be made: "Don't rush, under no circumstances send anything to printing houses, we are checking, there may be some adjustments," Pamfilova said at a commission meeting.
