Belarusians Can Now Travel to Bali Without Visas

An agreement between Belarus and Indonesia on visa-free travel has officially come into force. The corresponding decision is enshrined in a document from the Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Institutions of Indonesia, reports the Minsk-Novosti agency.

Along with citizens of Belarus, citizens of Brazil, Kazakhstan, Macao, Peru, and Turkey have also received the opportunity for visa-free entry to Indonesia.

The agreement on introducing a visa-free regime, as reported, was reached during a meeting between Alexander Lukashenka and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. At that time, the Belarusian side also announced the opening of the Indonesian embassy in Belarus and the launch of direct flights between the two countries.

Indonesia is one of the largest island nations in the world. It consists of more than 17,000 islands, a significant portion of which are uninhabited. The country's population exceeds 280 million people. The majority of residents profess Islam, but strong Buddhist traditions have also been preserved in the country.

Among the most famous historical monuments is the Buddhist temple of Borobudur, built in the VIII-IX centuries on the island of Java. The Prambanan temple complex from the IX century, dedicated to the Hindu gods Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma, is also located there. Part of this complex was restored after earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.

In the country's capital, Jakarta, tourists can visit the Istiqlal Mosque — one of the largest in Southeast Asia, the Chinese quarter, as well as museums with collections of ancient artifacts.

The island of Bali enjoys particular popularity and is considered one of the world's most famous resorts. For diving and snorkeling enthusiasts, the Raja Ampat archipelago, known for its rich underwater world, is considered one of the best places.

When planning a trip to Indonesia, it is recommended to consider the season, transportation accessibility of individual islands, and your own tourist interests.
