It became known how the family of the fugitive Ukrainian President Yanukovych now lives in Russia and what his current name is

According to journalists, after fleeing Ukraine, a group of former Ukrainian state security officers, who are wanted, moved to Sochi and began working for the Russian Federal Protective Service. It is possible that these individuals are protecting Yanukovych and his relatives.

Along with the guards, Lyubov Sadykova (formerly Polezhay), her daughter Maria Sadykova, and Lyubov's sister Nadezhda Marentseva traveled in Russia and abroad.

Journalists linked Lyubov Sadykova to the "Blagodat" complex in Sochi on Yesaulenko Street. This property was previously called "Yanukovych's dacha." The estate covers about three hectares: there are several houses, large greenhouses, a garden, a chapel, a pond, and views of the sea and mountains.

In addition, Sadykova owns a large plot of land next to an abandoned boarding house. According to the investigation, from 2015 to 2025, she officially worked as a manager in one of Russia's largest agro-industrial complexes, earning about 50,000 Russian rubles (about $640) per month. Journalists suggest that this might have been only formal employment.

During this time, Sadykova acquired ownership of about 337 hectares of agricultural land, which she then leased to the same agricultural enterprise. Over several years, she received more than 50 million rubles (about $640,000) from rent and another nearly 14 million rubles (about $179,000) from real estate sales.

In total, according to journalists, over the years of living in Russia, Sadykova had more than 370 hectares of land in Sochi and more than 2,400 square meters of real estate registered in her name: five apartments, five houses, and several other premises. Among them are two apartments in Moscow with areas of 102 and 147 square meters.

It also became known that in 2024, Sadykova registered a company called "Shchodradar" in Sochi, but according to financial reports, in 2025, the enterprise incurred losses of about two million rubles (about $25,600).

Journalists believe that Viktor Yanukovych himself may travel across Russia under the name "Oleg Nikolaevich Leonov." They, however, found no information about a person with this name — no details about residence, work, or contacts. The only coincidences are a birth date of July 9, 1950, which matches Yanukovych's birth date, and the surname Leonov, which was his mother's maiden name.

The investigation also touched upon Yanukovych's former official wife, Lyudmila. Journalists found that her phone number in the Russian state services portal has been listed as a deceased person's number since June 2026. However, they found no confirmation of her death.

Yanukovych's elder son, Oleksandr, according to journalists, lives in Russia with his wife and two sons under the surname Sokolovy. Until May 2026, he allegedly had access to the Russian system for facial recognition and tracking, used by special services.

It is also reported that in 2022-2023, Oleksandr Yanukovych flew between Moscow and Sochi together with the head of the 5th Service of the FSB of Russia, Sergei Beseda, and his deputy Anatoliy Bolyukh. Along with them, according to the investigation, the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Viktor Pshonka, and his wife traveled under different names.

Oleksandr Yanukovych's wife, Olena, who appears in Russian documents as Olena Sokolova, acquired over 27,000 square meters of real estate during her years in Russia, including in an elite village near Moscow.

At the same time, according to data from the Russian Pension Fund, she has been listed as a housewife since 2009. Despite this, in 2024, her bank deposits amounted to approximately $3.5 million. In addition to Russian citizenship, she, like her two sons, holds citizenship of the United Arab Emirates.

Journalists also found out that Viktor Yanukovych's grandson — Viktor — had almost $5 million in Russian accounts in 2024.

The investigation states that the family of the former Ukrainian president continues to live in Russia after their escape, utilizing significant financial resources and possible connections with Russian structures.
