Beltelcom reminded subscribers about the necessity of disconnecting modems and TV set-top boxes from the power grid during thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds.

Such a safety measure will help protect equipment from possible damage. During bad weather, power line breaks and power supply interruptions can occur. In addition, lightning strikes can cause voltage surges, which can lead to equipment failure.
