Belarusian Footballers Rescued Elderly Woman from Burning House in Kyrgyzstan

Belarusians Maksim Vysotski and Uladzimir Maslouski, together with other footballers from the Kyrgyz club OshMU, helped a woman escape from a fire, as she was unable to leave the apartment on her own due to her health condition.

The fire occurred on August 29 in Osh. The footballers were returning from training to their base when they noticed a fire in a neighboring house.

They rushed there and on the second floor found an elderly woman. Due to her health condition, she could not leave the apartment on her own. Even before the arrival of rescuers, the players helped her leave the house engulfed in flames, after which they handed her over to emergency medical personnel.

Along with the Belarusians, Andrei Sidarau, Mirlan Khudaiberdiev, Sherzodbek Kadirov, and Temirlan Dzhakypau participated in the woman's rescue, the football club reported.

"For us, football is not just about the result on the field. It is also about humanity, mutual assistance, and readiness to help in a difficult moment. We are proud of our guys," the club stated.

Maksim Vysotski is a 31-year-old goalkeeper. He previously played for Baranovichi, Naftan, Mogilev's Dnipro, and Svetlogorsk's Khimik. Vysotski moved to Kyrgyzstan in 2025 and became OshMU's main goalkeeper.

Uladzimir Maslouski is a 25-year-old midfielder who previously played in Belarus, including for Smarhon. He also joined OshMU in 2025.
