Trump's special envoy, John Cole, plans to visit Belarus again. The visit will begin on September 14.

This was reported by Washington correspondent for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Alex Raoufoglou, citing two informed sources.
In August, John Cole stated in an interview with the New York Times that he expected the release of Belarusian political prisoners soon. A possible visit in mid-September was then announced.
It should be recalled that as a result of visits by the American delegation and measures taken by the American administration, more than 470 people were released. This included large groups: 14 political prisoners on June 21, 2025, 51 people on September 11, 123 people on December 13, and 250 people on March 19, 2026.
Currently, according to human rights defenders, there are 890 political prisoners in Belarus.
