"An acquaintance looked at me like a UFO." How Andrzej Poczobut saw Grodno PHOTOS
The ex-political prisoner shared his impressions of his hometown, where he spent a week, on his Facebook.
"What Grodno lacks most are familiar faces, who are now easier to meet in Białystok, Warsaw, or Vilnius. I never used to be able to walk through the center without seeing a familiar face. Now it's an everyday occurrence. When I met an acquaintance in Sovetskaya Square, he looked at me like a UFO. And every one of my acquaintances I spoke with in Grodno had that feeling," Andrzej Poczobut wrote on his Facebook.

Last Tuesday, Andrzej Poczobut arrived in Grodno from Poland, where he had been since the end of April after his release from the penal colony. In Belarus, the journalist met with representatives of the Polish community and visited places significant for Polish and common Belarusian-Polish history. Today, he is expected to return to Poland.
