In Homiel, a man was prosecuted for illegally working for 10 years
The Homiel resident officially registered care for his mother but submitted a work record book with inaccurate information to the commission. One of the conditions for receiving the benefit was the absence of other employment, however, the man concealed the fact that he continued to work, writes the publication «Belka».
After the payment was assigned, the man received it for almost ten years. However, a check later revealed that the Homiel resident had a job all this time and used the money received from the state to hire a caregiver for his mother.
The court found the man guilty of large-scale fraud. He was sentenced to two years of restriction of liberty without being sent to an open-type facility, as well as a fine of 30 basic units.
The man has already compensated for all damages caused to the state — more than 16 thousand rubles.
