Ilya Savon was 18 years old.
Ilya Savon was born in 2008. The boy grew up in a large family in the capital city, along with his younger 12-year-old brother and 9-year-old sister.
He graduated from a gymnasium in Malinovka, and since 2023, he had been studying on a paid program at the Minsk Polytechnic College, specializing in "technological support of machine-building production."
At the educational institution, the young man is spoken of very warmly. He had no problems with discipline, alcohol, or the law, and his average grade was high — 8.2. Teachers and acquaintances describe him as a calm, kind, responsible, and tactful guy who had a good sense of social distance and was always ready to help.
It is known that at the time of the tragedy, the student was undergoing technological practice at the Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant (MZKT).
The circumstances of the incident are not yet fully clear. According to preliminary information, on the day of the tragedy, Ilya came to his apartment on Yasenin Street and spoke with his younger brother and sister.
After that, he left home and committed suicide. What exactly pushed the 18-year-old boy to such an act remains unknown.
