Man Linked to Innocence of Muslims Held in US

Nakoula Basseley Nakoula is charged with violation of probation terms after his release from prison in 2011 as he was sentenced for Bank fraud.

The man is said to be the author for 14-minute trailer for Innocence of Muslims, under the terms of his probation was banned from using computers or accessing the internet for five years without an officer's permission.

He has not been detained over the contents of the inflammatory video, BBC reports.

The amateur low-quality movie Innocence of Muslims sparkled protests around Arab countries as it defames Prophet Muhammad. Dozens of people were killed at these street fights, including four US diplomats in Benghazi, Libya.

However, Google and YouTube refused to delete the trailer as it does not violate the US Law on Freedom of Speech.
