On the night of April 18-19, 2026, GUR MO of Ukraine's "Ghosts" struck two large landing ships of Russia's Black Sea Fleet — Project 775 "Yamal" and Project 1171 "Nikolai Filchenkov".
At the moment of the attack, the ships were located in the best-protected Sevastopol Bay. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine published the video of drones approaching the ships on April 20.
▪️ Project 775 LST "Yamal" — a ship built in 1988, 112.5 meters long, capable of carrying up to 500 tons of cargo, including armored vehicles and landing troops. The approximate cost of the ship is over 80 million dollars.
▪️ Project 1171 LST "Nikolai Filchenkov" — a ship built in 1975 with a cargo capacity of up to 1000 tons, allowing it to transport dozens of armored vehicles and a large landing contingent. The approximate cost of the ship is over 70 million dollars.
According to the Ukrainian side's estimates, both ships have been disabled.
Within the operation, intelligence operatives also destroyed the "Podlyot-K1" radar station in Sevastopol. The approximate cost of the radar complex is 5 million dollars.
Russia's Black Sea Fleet hardly ever leaves the bays of Novorossiysk, Sevastopol, and Ochamchira anymore, but even there it becomes an object of periodic AFU strikes.
