"A colossus with feet of demographic clay."

Economist Lev Lvovsky considers China a more dangerous country than Russia. In the program «Гадзіннічак цікае» (The Watch Ticks), he explains his point of view:
«I am convinced that those internal processes that led Russia to this war are all present in China, and multiplied by 10. (...) China is a colossus with feet of demographic clay; it is a gigantic country with a super-aging population due to the one-child policy, which lasted a long time there. China is, naturally, an autocratic country where recently everyone has gotten used to living better and better each year, everyone has gotten used to economic growth, which is why no one questioned the actions of Comrade Xi Jinping. And as soon as all of this starts to break down, when problems arise with the demographic burden, with the lack of economic growth, then what will the Chinese government be willing to do to somehow distract the people...»
«They will seize Taiwan,» Shraibman noted, adding that China's military campaign would end there.
Lvovsky disagreed with him, noting that China has many disputed territories with its neighbors.
