Two tankers from Russia's shadow fleet are already on fire in the Black Sea.
Approximately 35 nautical miles off the coast of Turkey in the Black Sea, the tanker Virat, sailing under the flag of the Comoros Islands, caught fire. Earlier it was reported that a similar fate befell the tanker Kairos under the flag of Gambia.

Virat is under sanctions from the European Union, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Switzerland, while Kairos is under sanctions from the EU, the UK, and Switzerland. Although these tankers formally sail under the flags of the Comoros and Gambia, according to Ukrainian intelligence, they actually belong to Russians.
The exact causes of the alleged explosions and fires on both tankers are not yet known.
Z-bloggers write that the ship may have been attacked by five unmanned boats approximately 35 nautical miles from the coast in the Black Sea. As a result of the hit, the engine room was allegedly damaged.
The Turkish Maritime Administration reported that the condition of the 19 crew members is normal, but there is smoke in the engine room.
The Turkish Shipping Administration clarifies that Kairos is burning approximately 28 nautical miles (more than 50 km) from the Turkish coast, and Virat is to the east of it, approximately 35 miles (about 65 km) from the Turkish coast.
The nearest point of the Ukrainian coast from this area is more than 350 km away.
Rescuers have been sent to the scene of both incidents. According to Turkish authorities, members of both crews have been evacuated.
