The SBU is behind the attacks on Russian oil tankers off the coast of Turkey.
Sea Baby maritime drones attacked two sanctioned tankers, Kairos and Virat, in the Black Sea.
The video shows that after the hit, both tankers sustained critical damage and were effectively disabled, which will significantly impact the transportation of Russian oil, retells a statement from a source of "RBC-Ukraine."
The day before, it became known that a fire started on the tanker Kairos, sailing to Novorossiysk under the flag of Gambia. The General Directorate of Maritime Affairs of Turkey stated that the tanker caught fire due to external influence 28 miles from the coast. After that, the tanker Virat, located near the Turkish coast, reported smoke.
Two ocean-going tankers, which are under sanctions for transporting Russian oil, were almost simultaneously affected by explosions off the coast of Turkey; Turkey cited "external interference" as a possible cause, announcing that one of the tankers was hit twice, Bloomberg writes.
The Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure stated that on Saturday morning the ship Virat "was attacked again, receiving minor damage to the starboard side." There is no fire on board, the crew is feeling well. Rescuers are at a safe distance from the ship. The ship remains stable," the statement says.
