Negotiations between Alexander Lukashenka and US Special Envoy John Kowl, which began yesterday, Friday, December 12, continued today, BelTA writes.

Yesterday, during the meeting, Lukashenka congratulated Kowl on his appointment as US Special Envoy to Belarus.
«You are now our main person for Belarus. Tell Trump that we must do something in this regard. And we will do it.»
«We have many questions. The world is changing very quickly, new problems are emerging that we must discuss with you. And perhaps resolve some issues,» said Lukashenka.
The last visit of the US delegation to Minsk, led by Donald Trump's envoy John Kowl, was in September. After that meeting, 51 political prisoners were released and deported to Lithuania.
Yesterday it was reported that 150 political prisoners could be released.
