A lynx slowly strolled through Klichau and, as the author of the TikTok video recounted, later turned into the courtyard of the local "Culinary" (store/cafe), writes Mogilev Online.

In the comments under the video, many users were not surprised by such a turn of events.

One resident of Klichau said that he also saw a pair of these Red Book animals swimming across the river near the city "behind the bathhouse" on the very same day, and even shared a video showing one of the lynxes.

“It’s been everywhere: at the stadium, and at the second school. It will return again, 100 percent,” another local resident commented.
But there were also those who were surprised that such a rare animal in Belarus came so close to people.
“I haven't seen them in the forest, but here they came to the 'Culinary' store,” someone wrote.
Users suggested that the likely reason for the large cat's appearance in the city might be a desire to find food, noting that there are households in the private sector that raise chickens.
Nevertheless, most commentators saw no danger in the situation. Some joked that it was just "Gomel's runaway symbol."
