MFA Spokesperson: Pochobut Refused to Appeal to Lukashenka for Release
Political prisoner Andrei Pochobut received an offer to write a request for release, but he refused, as he does not wish to appeal to Alyaksandr Lukashenka. This was stated by Maciej Wiewiór, spokesperson for the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Journalists asked Maciej Wiewiór whether it was true that the activist refused to write a petition for release.
According to the diplomat, such an offer indeed existed. Pochobut, however, did not accept it — and this, the MFA representative emphasized, does not mean an end to efforts for his release.
Poland continues to work on this issue jointly with partners and will seek Andrei Pochobut's return to freedom.
