89-year-old groom and 85-year-old bride got married in Homiel Region
They met half a century ago. Back then, Aryion came to work, saw Nalia, and fell in love.
In the village of Aktsyabrski, Homiel district, 89-year-old Aryion Vasilyevich and 85-year-old Nalia Kharitonovna got married.
Aryion Vasilyevich is from Ukraine, Nalia is Russian. They met in Belarus half a century ago. Back then, the young man came to work, saw Nalia, and fell in love. The couple lived together for many years, and for the golden jubilee of their meeting, they finally decided to get married, reports the Main Department of Justice of Homiel Regional Executive Committee.
«We tested our feelings with time,» smiles Aryion Vasilyevich. «We lived in love and harmony, and now we want to become true spouses, to bear one surname.»
Nalia Kharitonovna came to the ceremony elegantly dressed. A white scarf instead of a veil, an elegant hairstyle and makeup, a bouquet of flowers. The spouses stepped onto the ritual towel and exchanged rings.
