Ihar Shunievich's Wife Became the Recipient of the First Women's Hunting Award
Tatsiana Shunievich became the first recipient of the "Big Five" badge. Her trophies included five animals, reports the official website of the Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen, which is headed by ex-Minister of Internal Affairs Ihar Shunievich.

In 2023, the Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen established two badges for the most successful hunters. The women's badge is called "The Big Five." It is awarded to those who have successfully hunted a moose, a deer, a roe deer, a wild boar, and a capercaillie at a level no lower than a CIC gold medal – the highest trophy evaluation according to international standards.
The first recipient of the "Five" badge was Tatsiana Shunievich, who has been hunting for 15 years. She is the wife of Ihar Shunievich, the former Minister of Internal Affairs. Tatsiana noted that due to competition, she decided to complete the task in one year – and she succeeded.
«If I had taken my time and stretched this out over five years, it's unlikely I would have been the first,» the hunter said.

Tatsiana first hunted a wild boar. Then on the list were a capercaillie, a roe deer, a deer, and a moose. The woman said that accomplishing the task was extremely difficult: hunting took a lot of effort and time.

«These are incredible difficulties and deprivations, this is my family, whom I almost abandoned for this year, these are relatives who are constantly on edge and cannot always find you even by phone, this is a child who sees their mother only rarely. And in financial terms, it's a very noticeable pressure on the family budget,» noted the ex-minister's wife.
