As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, the parties cemented common principles for countering unilateral restrictive measures, as well as ways to reduce and eliminate their negative consequences. Maksim Ryzhenkov emphasized that Belarus and Iran, which are under sanctions pressure, consider economic restrictions a violation of international law, as they allegedly harm ordinary citizens and contribute to increased tension in the world.
The head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry also noted the fruitful cooperation between the two countries within such international associations as the SCO and BRICS, where, according to him, the interests of states representing the "global majority" are promoted.
In addition, following the meeting, a declaration on strengthening the role of international law in international relations and a cooperation program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and Iran for 2026-2030 were signed.
