Viktor Babaryka, in turn, stated that acts of aggression against a sovereign state and gross violations of international law are absolutely unacceptable in the modern world.
According to him, in this case, it is about the whim of a limited number of people endowed with power and wishing to retain it at any cost, the consequences of which destroy trust between our countries and harm the security of the entire region.»
Besides Babaryka and Kalesnikava, other political prisoners released on December 13 also took part in the meeting: Uladzimir Labkovich, lawyer of the Human Rights Center "Viasna", advocate Maksim Znak, former editor-in-chief of the Tut.by portal Maryna Zolatava, and literary critic and political analyst Aliaksandr Fiaduta.
