On the morning of December 11, a deceased man was found in a metal barrel filled with water on the territory of a private homestead in the Gomel district, reports the Society for Water Rescue.

Employees of the district department of the Investigative Committee recovered the body of a pensioner born in 1950.
Reportedly, the man was found by a neighbor: he was in a 200-liter barrel headfirst. After the discovery, the neighbor immediately reported the incident to the district police department.
Ihar Losik recounted how he was held in the KGB pre-trial detention center with a former delegate of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly — a police colonel who, while drunk, almost killed his wife
