Before meeting Zelensky, Trump called Putin

Before meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, US President Donald Trump spoke on the phone with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Trump stated that it was "a good and very productive telephone conversation."

"I just had a good and very productive phone conversation with Russian President Putin before my meeting with Ukrainian President Zelensky," Trump wrote on his social network Truth Social.

The report of the phone conversation between Trump and Putin was also confirmed by Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Trump's meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to begin at 9 PM Belarusian time.
