As noted, 20 hectares of spring purple wheat were sown in one of the enterprise's farms. The seeds were brought from the Omsk region. Experts explain that this wheat differs not only in the unusual purple color of its grains but also in its high content of anthocyanin — a natural antioxidant that positively affects human health.
It was decided to use purple wheat for bread production at two of the enterprise's bakeries — in Salihorsk and Vileyka. In Salihorsk, a bread recipe containing 67% sprouted purple wheat was developed, named "Khazhouski Zernavy" (Khazhou Grain Bread). In Vileyka, they started baking "Dar Zyamli" (Gift of the Earth) bread, which includes 15% sprouted grains of this crop.
The names for the new products were thought up by the plant's employees themselves. The first batches of bread from purple wheat went on sale in December 2025, and the presentation and first tasting took place earlier in September during the regional festival "Dazhynki" in Zaslaŭje.
