During a visit to the Ford plant in Dearborn, Michigan, US President Donald Trump swore and showed the middle finger to one of the workers. A video filmed on a mobile phone shows Trump twice swearing at a person on the factory floor, and then making a finger gesture, writes The Washington Post.

The White House confirmed the authenticity of the video and called the president's behavior appropriate, noting that the worker was shouting insults at Trump. In the recording, a shout of "pedophile defender" can be heard from the crowd, which appears to be an allusion to criticism of the president in connection with the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The 40-year-old factory employee, T. J. Saboula, admitted in comments to the media that he was the one shouting insults at Trump. He has now been temporarily suspended from work pending an investigation. Saboula noted that he acted deliberately and has no regrets about what he did.
