Graduate got a job working one hour a day with lunch. What was the outcome?

A graduate of one of the capital's universities studied on a state-funded basis and was required to work under mandatory job placement after completing his studies.

He was assigned to one of Minsk's organizations, which, as it turned out, helped young specialists evade mandatory job placement. Formally, the young man was employed as a system engineer, writes Onliner.by.

During the court hearing, it was confirmed that he had not started working. Meanwhile, the contract stipulated that his working day was one hour with a 12-minute lunch break.

A guilty verdict has already been issued against the head of the company: the court found him guilty of facilitating the graduate's sham employment.

An inspection showed that the organization was not conducting any real activities. Young specialists were fictitiously employed: they did not work, did not receive wages, but instead had to transfer money to the head of the firm — to cover the costs of their "employment".

The court fully satisfied the prosecutor's claim: the employment contract was declared invalid. The decision has not yet entered into force and can be appealed.
