Alexander Lukashenka listened to a detailed report from the head of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, Ivan Krupko, on Christmas morning.
The main topic of the report was the situation in the region due to heavy snowfalls and the approaching cyclone — work to ensure the stable functioning of infrastructure, clearing streets and transport routes. Lukashenka was interested if the Gomel region needed any assistance in this regard.
Krupko also reported on the implementation of instructions based on the results of last year's meeting in Vitebsk, where issues of agricultural organizations' work were discussed. For this, industrial enterprises are also involved, providing assistance to agricultural organizations, BelTA writes.
Usually, on January 7, Lukashenka goes to church and then speaks from the pulpit to the parishioners. But this time, he decided to summon an official for a report on his day off.
