Scammers intimidated a schoolboy and forced him to transfer his parents' four thousand dollars into cryptocurrency
The parents of a 15-year-old schoolboy who fell victim to scammers contacted the Pervomaisky District Department of Internal Affairs in Minsk, "Minsk Police" reports.

The teenager answered a call from a "door phone service" and dictated a code from an SMS message. After that, the attackers called him a second time and introduced themselves as employees of the Belarusian State Inspection for Telecommunications. They informed him that the teenager had just been involved in a crime.
To avoid a search and punishment, he was forced to write a cooperation receipt, kept on the line for four days, and forbidden from discussing what was happening with his parents.
Under the guidance of the scammers, the ninth-grader installed a crypto wallet on his smartphone. And when his parents went to work, he took 4 thousand dollars from them, which, on the advice of the curators, he handed over to a crypto cash-out agent.
The schoolboy was promised that after verification, the cash would be returned. But after some time, instead of money, the curators began to give him new tasks, and the crypto wallet turned out to be empty. Then the teenager realized he had become a victim of scammers and told his parents everything.
Operatives identified the crypto cash-out agent. He did not suspect that the minor was transferring money under pressure from scammers. The cash was confiscated and will be returned to the family. An administrative protocol was drawn up against the man for illegal entrepreneurial activity.
The police urge parents and educators to tell children about the new scam scheme. Teenagers should know that they can turn to you in any difficult situation, even if it involves a crime.
