Nine-year-old girl in Minsk forced to cut her hair by fraudsters
First, fraudsters called the schoolgirl on behalf of a mobile operator and asked for her residential address, where they supposedly were going to send a paper contract.
Then the situation followed a familiar pattern. They tricked the child into revealing a code from an SMS message, supposedly to confirm a service, according to "Minsk Police".
Immediately after this, another stranger called the girl via a messenger, introducing himself as a law enforcement officer. He reprimanded the schoolgirl for giving the code to "criminals" and stated that her parents would now be jailed, and she herself would be sent to an orphanage.
The man ordered the girl to search the apartment for her parents' savings.
When she didn't find any money, he became angry and started giving senseless tasks: throw the TV remote out the window, put the phone in the microwave, and cut her hair.
The schoolgirl got scared and followed all instructions, but the stranger continued to speak roughly to her. Then the girl hung up and called her mother. The woman immediately returned home from work and reported the incident to the police.
The girl confessed to police officers that she knew about the schemes used by fraudsters and had discussed it with her parents. However, when she herself fell into such a situation, she became confused and scared.
