Zelenskyy: The US Calls for Giving Donbas to Russia as Part of a Peaceful Settlement
"Both Americans and Russians say that if you want the war to end tomorrow, leave Donbas," the President of Ukraine told journalists.

Zelenskyy reported that the United States is calling for Donbas to be handed over to Russia as part of a peaceful settlement. The Ukrainian president told AFP in an interview.
According to him, Washington and Moscow are putting pressure on Kyiv and demanding the surrender of Donbas to end the war.
"Both Americans and Russians say that if you want the war to end tomorrow, leave Donbas," Volodymyr Zelenskyy told journalists.
According to him, the United States and Russia are also demanding that Ukraine hold presidential elections. Zelenskyy noted that the Kremlin simply wants to remove him from power.
In late January, the Financial Times, citing eight sources, wrote that the Trump administration, in exchange for security guarantees, demanded that Kyiv withdraw troops from the un-occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, reminds "Current Time" (Nastoiaschee Vremya).
