The planned quarter will include buildings on Kirova Street, 25, Lenina Street, 20 and 22, and Karla Marksa Street, 24.
Currently, the main works are underway in the building at Lenina, 22 — new exhibition halls and excursion spaces will open there after reconstruction.
«The building will retain its administrative functions. On the first and second floors, there will be exhibitions, a small storage facility, which is very important for museum staff. Funds are replenished, storage places are needed. Many useful things have been thought out: offices, a lecture hall, an isolation studio, a space for master classes», — said Iryna Matsias, the General Director of the National Art Museum of Belarus.
From June, they plan to start work in the main building.
