In Vienna, the literature and culture magazine Zwischenwelt, featuring works by more than a dozen Belarusian writers translated into German, has been released . The first issue for 2026 is titled "Time on the Edge. Belarusian Literature Underground and in Exile" (Zeit am Grat. Belarusische Literatur im Untergrund und im Exil), writes Bellit.info.

Hanna Yankuta was responsible for selecting the authors in cooperation with the magazine's editor. Excerpts of essays and poetry were translated by Tina Wünschmann, Thomas Weiler, Lotte Frei, and Franziska Füchsl.
Among the authors of the issue are Ales Bialiatski, Sabina Brylo, Yulia Tsimafeeva, Hanna Shakel, Hanna Yankuta, Siarhei Prylutski, Artur Kamarouski, Darya Bialkevich, Maria Litvin, Alhierd Bacharevich, Uladz Liankevich, Tatsiana Niadbai, Maria Badzei, and others. Some of the writers use pseudonyms.


A good third of the publication is dedicated to Belarusian literature. In addition to translated works, it also includes reviews of books by Belarusian authors (Yulia Tsimafeeva, Alhierd Bacharevich, Viktar Zhybul, and Tania Artsimovich) that have recently been published in German.
The magazine is adorned with collages by Yulia Tsimafeeva.
