Golovchenko assures that the global situation does not affect the Belarusian ruble
The exchange rate of the Belarusian ruble remains stable, and no serious shocks are expected in the foreign exchange market. This was stated by the Chairman of the Board of the National Bank, Roman Golovchenko. According to him, despite the tense global situation, the foreign exchange market within the country feels quite calm.

As for exchange rate fluctuations, they are, according to Golovchenko, absolutely natural. Many factors influence currency: from external economics to domestic demand. At the same time, the National Bank does not directly interfere in the formation of the exchange rate: it is formed by the market.
However, if the situation starts to get out of control, the regulator has tools to smooth out sharp jumps.
"But for now, we are not using them, because no serious shocks are foreseen in the foreign exchange market," Roman Golovchenko emphasized.
