What the National Historical Museum looks like now, where 80 percent of construction and installation work has been completed
Construction of the National Historical Museum in the capital on Orlovskaya Street is proceeding ahead of schedule, writes "Minsk-Novosti".

— Construction and installation work on this facility is generally 80% complete," said Dmitry Kharitonov, head of SU-7 "Budtrest No. 4" site. — The building's structures have been fully erected: four floors on the southern part, and five on the northern. The first layer of the roof is practically ready; out of 6,900 sq. m, only 900 square meters of waterproofing remain to be laid.

As Kharitonov noted, about 60% of the facade area has been clad with porcelain stoneware.

— We are currently working on its insulation, which is more than half finished. Approximately 30 thousand cubic meters of concrete have already been used on the site, and 890 piles have been driven," the interviewee said.

Inside the museum, plastering of surfaces is almost complete.
— In the exhibition halls, double-layer plasterboard partitions with profiles and insulation are being installed; on the 1st-4th floors, builders are pouring and grinding polymer floors. Finishing work has already begun: on the second and third floors, floors and bathrooms are being clad with porcelain stoneware tiles. Painting work is also underway," Kharitonov added. "In the halls, modern architectural compositions are being created using stucco, stone, tiles, and other materials. Very complex suspended ceilings are being installed in the building; in the foyer, they are multi-level.

In addition to the divisions of the general contractor "Budtrest No. 4", workers from 23 subcontracting organizations are involved on the site.

— External networks are being laid for landscaping. A small section of the water supply and storm sewer remains, everything else has been completed. In the near future, it is also planned to complete the connection of the main entrance from Orlovskaya Street to the park area. There are no problems with providing the facility with construction materials, machinery, and equipment. The construction schedules for the National Historical Museum, which began in February last year, are being met. The standard term is 24 months; we are proceeding ahead of schedule, and I think that by autumn, the builders will complete their work here," said Kharitonov.
